Seven Stars
Once upon a time, there were six brothers. The youngest of them was very handsome. A real beauty. One day, while hunting, he fell asleep by the stream.
Meanwhile, a girl sent by her mother came to the stream to fetch water. That's where she saw the sleeping young man. She saw him and immediately fell in love. When the young man woke up, he saw the beautiful girl before him and also fell in love with her at first sight.
"Let's leave this place together, get married, and build our own home," he suggested.
"Alright," said the girl. "But first, I need to bring the water home."
At home, the girl told her parents that she wanted to marry the young man she had met by the stream and that they planned to leave soon. Seeing that their daughter was in love, her parents realized she wouldn't change her mind. Taking their daughter with them, they moved to a distant land.
From the moment the girl left her homeland, the young man fell into a deep sleep. Sleeping, he remained by the stream.
Several years later, the girl's family returned to their old home. One day, she was sent to the stream again to fetch water. She looked and saw her beloved still lying in the same spot where they had parted. She called out his name—and he awoke from his slumber. But the young man could no longer be human. He had turned into an angel. He flapped his wings to take flight but fell to the ground and shattered.
Realizing that her beloved had perished, the girl's heart couldn't bear the pain, and she died. They were buried together: the young man and the girl. Both of them turned into stars. When the older brothers learned of the tragic fate that had befallen their youngest brother, they died of grief. And all five of them became stars.
They joined their brother and his beautiful bride. There, in the sky. Now they are all together. Someday, tilt your head back, look up at the sky, and you will see them all—a constellation of seven stars.
