Witnesses of the Thief
The thief was caught and put on trial. During the trial, witnesses exposed him. But the thief stood his ground, denied his guilt, and insisted that he had not stolen anything.- "It's pointless to be stubborn," said the judge. "Confess, and the matter will be over. Your denial won't help you—we have six witnesses."
- "Six?" exclaimed the thief. "You have six witnesses who saw me stealing? Would you like me to bring you a hundred and six witnesses who will confirm they saw nothing?!"
