The Rooster and the Hen

Once upon a time, there lived a hen and a rooster. They went to the forest to gather nuts. The rooster climbed up the hazel tree to pick the nuts, while he told the hen to gather them on the ground. The rooster threw the nuts down, and the hen picked them up.

Then, the rooster threw a nut and it hit the hen right in the eye. The hen walked away, crying. Some noblemen were passing by and asked:

— Hen, hen! Why are you crying?
— The rooster knocked out my eye.
— Rooster, rooster! Why did you knock out the hen's eye?
— The hazel tree tore my pants.
— Hazel tree, hazel tree! Why did you tear the rooster's pants?
— The goats gnawed at me.
— Goats, goats! Why did you gnaw at the hazel tree?
— The shepherds don't take care of us.
— Shepherds, shepherds! Why don't you take care of the goats?
— The mistress doesn't feed us pancakes.
— Mistress, mistress! Why don't you feed the shepherds pancakes?
— My pig spilled the dough.
— Pig, pig! Why did you spill the mistress's dough?
— The wolf took my piglet.
— Wolf, wolf! Why did you take the pig's piglet?
— I got hungry. Fairy girl
