About the Treasure

The landowner got angry at his worker and kicked him out of the house completely. But the next morning, the worker came back to the landowner. The landowner saw him and, in a rage, shouted:
- Why are you here? I kicked you out! What do you want here? Get out of here!

The worker humbly replied:
- Master! When you kicked me out yesterday, I went home, grieved for a while, and fell asleep. In the morning, I woke up and remembered that I had something to tell you, and as soon as I remembered what it was, I hurried back to you to bring you good news.

The landowner heard that the worker wanted to bring him some good news and immediately softened:
- Well, tell me, what is this good news you wanted to share?

- Yesterday, I was digging in your garden, - the peasant began. - Suddenly, my shovel hit something hard. I thought it was a stone and started digging it out. But it wasn’t a stone—it was a large vat. Your name was written on its lid. I slightly opened the lid, and it was full of silver!

The landowner grew anxious, glanced at the worker, and thought: "Did he take any of the silver?" But he didn’t dare ask directly. Instead, pretending to be kind, he said:
- Even though the treasure was found in my garden, since you found it, you could have taken a share of it.

- No, master, - the worker replied. - Your name was clearly written on it, so how could I dare take any of the silver for myself?

The landowner was delighted that the entire treasure would belong to him. He invited the worker into the house, treated him to wine, delicious food, and even sat at the same table with him.

While the worker was enjoying the meal, the landowner thought again: "It’s impossible that he didn’t hide some of the silver!"
- How could you calmly look at such a large vat of silver? Tell me honestly, - he asked.

The worker sighed and quietly said:
- There’s a saying: to be in water and not get wet! I’ll be honest with you: I took one small silver ingot for myself.

The landowner felt a surge of anger, but he quickly caught himself. "I can’t quarrel with him now—there’s still a lot of silver left. If I offend him now, he might not show me where the treasure is," he thought. Putting on a pleased expression again, the landowner continued to treat the worker, who ate and drank to his heart’s content.

Then the landowner asked him again:
- Surely you took more than just one ingot? Probably more! Tell me honestly, I won’t scold you.

The worker had already had enough to drink. He stood up, straightened himself, and said to the landowner:
- I knew the silver was yours, but greed got the better of me, and my hands reached for more ingots. Just as I was about to grab them, someone slapped me on the back. I woke up from the fright... What a pity I couldn’t take more silver! And it’s all my wife’s fault—she’s the one who woke me up.

The landowner’s eyes widened, and then, choking with rage and stammering, he shouted:
- So it was just a dream!

The worker was already standing at the doorstep and calmly said:
- Did you think it was real? Fairy girl
