The Blacksmith and the Jug

Once upon a time, there lived a blacksmith. One day, he received a jug of milk as payment for his work. He was carrying the milk home when he came across a group of people gathered on the road to chat. They saw the blacksmith and started laughing at him. The blacksmith put the jug on the ground, looked at the jokers, and said:

"You're laughing at me, are you? Well, just you wait: I'll sell this jug of milk, buy a piglet, and when it grows up, it will give me twelve more piglets. And each of those piglets will have twelve more. Then I'll sell them all, become rich, and be elected your village elder. You'll come to me with your petitions, and I'll kick you all out! That's how it'll be!"

And with that, he kicked the jug of milk! And so, he was left with nothing, poor fellow!
