The Hen
Prince Shakhnazar often entrusted Pul-Pugi with resolving disputes among the villagers. One day, two women came to him.
"This is my chicken, may the prince live long!" said one of the complainants. "But my neighbor has taken it and refuses to return it."
"May the prince live long! She is lying, this chicken is mine," insisted the other.
"Go, both of you, to Pul-Pugi," said Prince Shakhnazar.
Upon learning the essence of the dispute, Pul-Pugi took the chicken and went outside.
"Where do you live?" he asked the complainants. Then, releasing the chicken near their homes, he shouted, "Shoo!"
"Now watch," Pul-Pugi said to those present. "Whichever yard the chicken goes to, that is where it belongs."
