The Whole Wife
One peasant had two wives. For this, he was brought to court. The judge asked:- What made you commit such a crime?
- I, Your Honor, do not consider what I did a crime, - the peasant explained. - I do not have two wives, but one. After all, what is a wife? It has long been known to everyone that a wife is half a person. People say "my better half" or "my dear half." So, I wanted to have a whole wife, and that's why I took two halves.
